Calculate eBay profit after final value fees and fulfillment costs.
The sale price shown in an eBay listing is not the amount you keep. A useful seller model includes the final value fee, any per-order charge, product cost, shipping, promoted listing spend, and expected return loss.
Inputs to collect from your eBay workflow
- Sale price, discounts, and the amount actually collected
- Product cost and packaging cost
- Shipping paid by the seller
- Category-specific final value fee and any fixed order fee
- Promoted Listings or other ad cost per attributed order
- A reserve for returns, refunds, and damaged inventory
eBay fee rates can vary by category, seller status, and order details. Use your current seller statement as the source of truth and treat a generic preset as a starting point only.

Per-order profit formula
When reviewing a campaign, calculate the average ad cost per order instead of entering the campaign’s total spend. This lets you compare two products with different prices and conversion rates on the same basis.
Set a target price before listing
Use the target margin field to estimate the lowest sale price that still meets your required margin. Recheck the result after adding coupons, free shipping, or promoted listing costs because each can move a product from profitable to unprofitable.
